Placement Support Worker – East Anglia
Salary scale: £18,000 to £24,000 per annum; commensurate to experience.
Regional Foster Placements is an independent fostering agency providing safe, high quality family placements to children and young people who are ‘looked after’ by local authorities. We pride ourselves on providing an environment which enables the children and young people to fulfil their potential and live positive lives; the region’s last Ofsted report published in March 2018 rated the region ‘Good’ in all areas.
The East Anglia team covers Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire. We are looking for a Placement Support Worker who has experience of working directly with children and young people; to join our dedicated and supportive team.
The role of the Placement Support Worker is to be proactively involved in the support of foster carers, through direct work with children who are ‘looked after’ and our foster carers own children. The post holder must work in partnership with the agency’s Social Workers to provide additional services and support for children and young people. The role will involve working outside of the usual office hours and include evening and weekend work. An NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent Award is desirable.

You will be joining a fantastic and supportive team and the right candidate will be key in the further growth and development of our agency.
The successful candidate will be based in our office in Norwich and they will ideally live within a 45 minute to a 1 hour drive of the office (i.e. Bury St Edmunds, Diss, Watton, Dereham, Bungay or Thetford) as you will be supporting our foster carers and children predominately living within Norfolk and Suffolk.
