As a professional foster carer you will require a willingness to pursue training and continue the learning process and to work in partnership with birth families, Local Authority Social Service Departments, support groups and our own organisation.

Child Care Knowledge and Skills

The final stage of your journey to becoming a foster carer is the Panel, where a team of independent professionals with various backgrounds and skills will review your assessment.

Regional Foster Placements will continue to support you throughout your time as a carer and will be inviting you to many training courses which will enable you to develop new skills and improve on your technique whilst keeping you up to date with current legislation.
